ART IN MOTION

MAKING ART ACCESSIBLE TO ALL.

& Providing access to the tools necessary to build Artistic Confidence

Purpose

My purpose is to provide access to the creative arts to all, especially low income families that have no access, make it equitable and expose my community to the healing and inspirational power of art and creativity. To make sure equity in intentional, by providing the tools necessary for all to feel artistically successful. Access is key. My purpose is to expand the positive reach that art can have on my community.

Mission

My mission is to bring Art, Science, Nature, Stories together to allow for their merging to create a healing and refreshing space for everyone. One goal is to understand ourselves and our connection to the environment more, through several sectors of art like, Sculpting, collaging, building, sewing, visual arts & drawing. We will use art as a way to broaden the respect for Nature, Self & Thought. Art Integrated into daily life, unitizes the creative process to promote growth, self-expression, emotional reparation, conflict resolution and transformation. Our mission is to provide the space and time for this to happen.

Why?

The kids in my community of Oakland, California, have no access to the creative arts. Things are very expensive in this city and many children are falling through the cracks. Kids need supplies. They need the basic tools to make their creations feel as successful as they want them to be. They need to be able to build and dream. The arts is not being understood as a way to make learning fun and promote creative thinking, but i does just that!

Exposure to the deep and innovative thought not only makes you feel better emotionally but it also contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones. Bet you didn't know all that about being creative!!! It also helps us develop an appreciation and respect for the environment around us, as art is an expression of who we are and everything around us. It makes us develop a more gentle approach to life and a respectful attitude towards forward moving thought. Making art mobile and delivering the necessary Materials that kids need to feel successful is important. For example, scissors and markers, paint and brushes, paper... these are some of things some find easy to access but most do not., in addition, also allows for children and other community members to access the healing properties of art right in their own homes and neighborhoods.

Exposure to Art makes you feel focused, successful, emotionally calm, relaxed and even puts you in a reflective state. Merging all the forms of art allows us to gain all the healing and understanding it has to offer plus experience different techniques until you find your niche.

We provide a YouTube Channel dedicated to creating full fun Science, Art, Storytime lessons! These lessons are FREE and ACCESSIBLE to all. The link is above.

Conclusion
